    In this study of the Book of Acts we will learn about the role of the Holy Spirit in the early church and today. This is one of the most important books in the Bible. This book provides the foundational story for the Christian church and dynamically illustrates how the Holy Spirit empowered the church and individual believers to make a difference for Christ in the first century world. Understanding this story is important since the Holy Spirit wants to continue this work through believers today—emboldening us to serve and witness for Jesus. “Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.” Acts 9:31. For adults of all ages. Meets in Room 2.

Your foundation as a new believer, or as a person who has been a Christian for quite a while, is to understand that in order to grow you need to know what you believe. This course will help you develop a stronger relationship with God and to learn more about Him and His Word. You will learn what the salvation message is all about, how to build a good foundation in your journey with Christ and how to pray. You will also learn how to study and apply what you read in scripture and become more aware about what God’s will is for your life through His Word.

We are excited to once again offer this class called App 101: Grow to Know. This course will help you develop a stronger relationship and foundation to learn more about God and His word. You will learn what the salvation message is all about, how to build a good foundation in your journey with Christ and how to pray. You will also learn how to study and apply what you read in scripture and become more aware about God’s will and His word for your life. You will receive handouts in this LifeSolution class as well as insight on how to grow in your faith. This class is open to all ages no matter where you are at on your journey of faith.     Before taking iSaved: App 201 you must take iSaved: App 101. The Bible says in Matthew 28:19, 20 (NIV)“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Your foundation as a new believer or a person who has been a Christian for quite a while is to understand that in order to grow you need to not only know what you believe but you must become what you believe. We are excited to offer this new class, App 201: Grow to Become as a continuation for those who have previously taken App 101: Grow to Know. (You must complete App 101 in order to attend App 201). This course will teach you the beauty of being a Disciple of Jesus. In addition to great teaching, discipleship must also include relationship building, accountability and being a participant in serving God’s interest in the life of others. You will learn more about water baptism, the Lord’s Supper, preparing for battle, overcoming temptation, Spiritual gifts and the church, giving of tithes and offerings as well as becoming a disciple of Christ. You will receive handouts as well as insight on how to grow in your faith. This class is open for all ages no matter where you are at on your journey of faith.
