    In this study of the Book of Acts we will learn about the role of the Holy Spirit in the early church and today. This is one of the most important books in the Bible. This book provides the foundational story for the Christian church and dynamically illustrates how the Holy Spirit empowered the church and individual believers to make a difference for Christ in the first century world. Understanding this story is important since the Holy Spirit wants to continue this work through believers today—emboldening us to serve and witness for Jesus. “Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.” Acts 9:31. For adults of all ages. Meets in Room 2.

    The Bible says in I Corinthians 3:11 (NIV) “No one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” We all know that the most important part of a building is its foundation. Your foundation as a new believer, or as a person who has been a Christian for quite a while, is to understand that in order to grow you need to know what you believe. We are excited to offer this new class called App 101: Grow to know. This course will help you develop a stronger relationship and foundation to learn more about God and His word. You will learn what the salvation message is all about, how to build a good foundation in your journey with Christ and how to pray. You will also learn how to study and apply what you read in scripture and become more aware about God’s will and His word for your life. You will receive handouts in this LifeSolution class as well as insight on how to grow in your faith. This class is open to all ages no matter where you are at on your journey of faith. This class will run for 8 weeks (January 15 - March 4). Following the initial 8 week session, App 101 will be offered again with a different time, location and teacher.
